Angus Robertson MP - August 16
At this time of year there’s not a week that goes by that there isn’t a Highland Games, a village fete or local festival that is celebrated in communities the length and breadth of Moray.
Like many folk, I will be getting along to a few of these events both for personal enjoyment and as an opportunity to meet constituents and catch up with folk.
The one thing that all of these events have in common is the dedication and commitment of volunteers who give up their time to make them the successes that they are. From the local cadets, scouts and other youth organisations who are often helping with car parking to the volunteers on charity stalls to the community council member in the pinny behind the BBQ and everyone else who chips in - a huge well done.
Our communities are thriving because of these efforts to put on a great show for locals and visitors alike and which give each of our communities an event that is unique to them!
